Initial Qualification Costs
The primary costs associated with initial certification are for the study materials, and the exam.
Association Membership: Joining Associated Yacht Brokers (AYB) is highly recommended, as it provides substantial discounts on the exam fee and access to other resources.
Retesting: If you fail the exam on the first attempt, you get one additional attempt. If you do not pass the second time, you will have to pay the full exam fee again to make a third attempt.
Ongoing Costs (Recertification)
To maintain CPYB certification, brokers must renew their certification every three years by completing the applicable update course.
